Apple's chief design officer, Jonathan Ive, will leave the company to start his own independent design company called LoveFrom, with Apple as a client. Ive, known for his influence on products like the iPhone and Apple Park campus, will still work on exclusive projects with Apple. This marks the end of a 30-year partnership with Apple, during which Ive played a significant role in reshaping both hardware and software design.

Former Apple design officer Jony Ive and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman are reportedly in talks to collaborate on an artificial intelligence hardware device. Altman has previously partnered with a former Apple designer to develop the Orb retina scanner for his Worldcoin crypto project. The specific details of the device are unknown, but the discussions revolve around creating new hardware for the AI era. SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son is also said to be involved in the discussions.

What could a collaboration between Jony Ive and Sam Altman on an artificial intelligence hardware device potentially look like?
